Our Portland Prometheans returned to Rose Haven for another volunteer shift. With October bringing cooler temps, they helped organize donated jackets, scarves, and other cozy and warm clothes. Sack lunches were also prepared for distribution to those in need. Kudos to everyone who joined!
This week, our Neighborhood Service Team gathered in Portland for a Service Roundtable focused on sharing feedback. Our team recently came together to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley, building a playhouse for a child in need. It was an incredible experience to contribute our time and skills toward creating a safe, joyful space to play and grow. This project reminded us how small acts of kindness can bring big smiles and lasting memories. A huge thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and helped bring this playhouse to life!
ose began his journey with Prometheus 35 years ago as our Neighborhood Painter at Mansion Grove. From the early days, his dedication and craftsmanship have been evident in every project he touched. Over the decades, Jose has remained a steadfast part of the team, bringing not only skill but also passion and commitment to his work at Mansion Grove. His long-standing presence is a testament to both his loyalty and the value he brings to Prometheus. Even today, Jose continues to contribute with the same enthusiasm and expertise that marked the start of his career. His story is one of perseverance, growth, and unwavering dedication, a true inspiration at Prometheus. Congratulations on your 35-year milestone, Jose!
Our PNW porch team closed out summer with a harvest at Verdier Farm. Veggies gathered from this farm go to the Lift Up food bank and are distributed to those in need—because lending a hand is always in season. 🥕🥦🍅🥬🌽
We were honored to have attended the Second Harvest of Silicon Valley Groundbreaking Ceremony! Second Harvest is one of our long term Porch partners, where our Prometheans continuously volunteer to support those in need. This new chapter marks the start of their future home—built with the same spirit of care and community that fuels their mission to provide nutritious food for all. Congratulations to the Second Harvest team on this inspiring milestone!
Our Promethean Services Team came together at Brickline for some quality time full of connection, collaboration, and creativity, both in our work and in the kitchen! Between meaningful discussions and hands-on pizza making, we strengthened not only our skills but also our bonds as a team. It’s moments like these that remind us how important it is to blend professional growth with a dash of fun.
Our Porch team got their hands in the soil with City of Dreams 🌱 Volunteering in their community garden isn’t just relaxing—it’s a chance to connect with nature, bond with fellow Prometheans, and give back. Every plant we tended helps provide fresh fruits and veggies to Bayview families, supporting City of Dreams’ mission to help youth in San Francisco’s at-promise communities build brighter futures through mentorship and development. 💚 Thank you, City of Dreams, for letting us be part of this meaningful work!
Our Prometheans recently participated in Situational Leadership training, a hands-on program designed to help leaders adapt their approach based on the needs and performance readiness of their team members. Through the workshop and hands on learning, participants gained insights into their leadership styles and learned how to more effectively assess, support, and communicate with others to drive performance and growth. This training reflects our commitment to developing adaptable, people-focused leaders who meet their teams where they are. Thank you to our Learning & Development team for facilitating another successful leadership training!
Last week, we came together to celebrate our incredible Prometheans at the annual Porter Tech Gathering at Hearth Park in Santa Clara.
