In April of 2021, we had the opportunity to partner with Workplace from Meta on a feature in their blog “Deskless, Not Voiceless”. Workplace saw Royal’s team engaging, collaborating and connecting, on the platform, creating a unique community, and wanted to include Royal in their study: “The Frontline Barometer”. The short film: “Life On the Frontline” is about human connection, highlighting the moments that matter between our patients, team members and leadership. As we know, most people, (sometimes even friends and family) don't know what it’s like to be in your shoes. Capturing the emotion and empathy involved in your role is an attempt to translate life on the frontline to someone without that experience. Beyond the shadow of a doubt, this opportunity would not have been possible without our engaged team members. Thank you so much for everything you do. It's not every day that we have the chance to participate in a Hollywood caliber production. A special thanks to our real life superheroes, Rachel, Grant, Shena, Eve, and Jacob.

Across the nation, EMT staffing is presenting a formidable challenge for the industry. In the Bay Area, it’s no different, with strained organizations offering large sign-on bonuses in a fight to keep up with demand from crowded hospitals. We took a deep dive with Eve Grau, VP of HR into the known consequences of sign on bonuses, their impact on team culture, and discussed how Royal is centering around team member growth and development as the number one priority instead.

Why EMT Sign-On Bonuses Are Destroying Your Team Culture - JEMS
