SOLV Energy will provide full O&M services for Sunray, a 270 MW site in Uvalde County, TX. This is the first U.S. project for Arava Power Company and their partners, Paz Group and Menora Mivtachim. The site will employ four full-time technicians to keep the facility's Talesun Solar Technologies modules, Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd. central inverters and GameChange Solar single axis tracker performing their best. The U.S. solar industry accounted for 279,447 jobs as of December 2023, marking a 5.9% increase from 2022 with 15,564 jobs added. Solar jobs also increased in 47 states, with some of the largest gains in Florida, Texas, Arizona, and Nevada. More people are working in the solar industry than ever before since the Solar Jobs Census was first published in 2010. The Inflation Reduction Act includes prevailing wage and registered apprenticeship program requirements that need to be met in order to capitalize on the full value of the investment or production tax credit. Last week we joined Matrix Renewables to celebrate the start of construction on Stillhouse Solar, a 284 MW project near Rogers, Texas. SOLV Energy was selected as the EPC and O&M provider on the project, which is expected to be operational in the second half of 2025. We’re proud to be working alongside Matrix, a partner that shares our commitment to building strong solar communities. Texans are uniquely positioned to benefit from solar energy, and construction on Stillhouse will create valuable career opportunities while strengthening local economies in Bell County. Over the last few months, our community relations team has been getting to know the area and exploring ways to partner with local schools and organizations to expand this project’s good energy impact.
