On Saturday we celebrated the 45th Anniversary of the first Toyotathon! In 1976, during the first #Toyotathon, Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC sold 3,000 vehicles in a 36-hour television explosion of advertisements! 33 markets took part and generated more than $12 million in sales! As part of our continued efforts to acknowledge the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., JM Family is sponsoring a “MLK Day of Service” this year for our associates. This day of service will be held later in the year due to current COVID-19 restrictions. We can’t wait to share more details about our event later this fall! In lieu of rolling up our sleeves and volunteering together today, we are honoring "MLK Day of Service" by making a $25,000 contribution to the United Negro College Fund (UNCF). The UNCF is an American philanthropic organization that funds scholarships for black students and general scholarship funds for 37 private historically black colleges and universities.

Our Port Processing center is on 75 acres at the Jacksonville Port Authority’s Talleyrand terminals. Here we prepare new Toyota vehicles delivered by ship from manufacturing plants around the globe for distribution to dealerships throughout the Southeast. At Hunger Fight, they have a mission to end hunger insecurity for families and seniors in need and promote child literacy throughout North Florida. This is a cause that JM Family and Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC are happy to rally behind. In the last 8 years, this amazing organization has provided more than 9.6 million meals through their Feed the Backpacks program -- and they've also fed children's imagination through their Feed the Need to Read program, which has donated more than 84,000 books!
