After sustaining a car accident that left her quadriplegic, Michelle Henton pursued her educational goals. She first obtained an Associate of Science, followed by a Bachelor’s Degree, and ultimately received a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University, earning high honors throughout her entire academic career. Upon graduation, she received job counseling and placement assistance through The Chicago Lighthouse’s Employment Services Program. She now works as a Guidance Counselor at COMPSYCH, which is the world’s largest provider of employee assistance programs. She attended our recent Scholarship Awards Reception as a Keynote Speaker and wowed the audience with her valuable advice based on her own experiences of successfully pursuing a graduate degree with a disability.
