On October 27th, VNSNY Hospice and Palliative Care hosted its annual Memorial Service. Rosemary Baughn MSN, RN spoke to families and friends to honor and remember loved ones who passed away in the last year. Part of the service is the Memorial Weaving, which is created by interlacing pieces of fabric from clothing, scarves, and other articles from our deceased hospice patients, which are provided by their surviving family members. VNSNY’s Janet King has been incorporating new additions every year since 2008.

An example of the great care delivered by one of our VNSNY clinicians! Congratulations to VNSNY physical therapist Farouk Khan, whose patient wrote us to thank him for his service. "I am pleased to report that Farouk provided me with exceptional therapeutic home care. He is unfailingly courteous, knowledgeable, patient and articulate in his instructions and explanations, and above all professional in working through each therapeutic session with his patient. I am most grateful for having received such level of care as that I received from Farouk, and I could not be more appreciative, or recommend him more highly."
