Look at this crew. VPP Academy's Clinical Skills event at the Viticus Center in Las Vegas brought this amazing group together for hands-on wet labs in dental and surgical techniques. So proud of everyone who showed up and put in the work 🙌
A standout month on the road for our VPP Campus Team. Our recruiters and team members traveled across the country to connect with veterinary and vet tech students, faculty, and career services partners at eleven institutions: UMass Charles River (Tech Career Fair) Kansas State University NC State Westchester Community College Iowa State University UC Davis University of Minnesota Utah State University Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine Cornell University University of Florida Through career fairs, lunch and learns, and other engagements, we had meaningful conversations about career paths, professional growth, and what it means to practice at a partnership-driven organization that puts hospital teams first. A note for students: if you're starting to plan externships for the upcoming school year, now is the time. We'd love to connect! Please reach out to us at students@vetpartners.com. Thank you to the faculty, career services teams, and students who welcomed us on campus. Investing in the next generation of veterinary professionals is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do — and we're already looking forward to next semester.
Last week, our team from Family Pet Clinic -- Christine Wiggins , Dr. Glori Brownstein, and Sydney Miller -- had the chance to visit Hand2Paw and sit down with Devon (Hand2Paw's Program Manager) and Sydney (Hand2Paw's Program Facilitator) to hear firsthand what this program means to the young people in it. Hand2Paw works with youth aged 15 to 24 who want to build careers in animal welfare and veterinary medicine. And they've watched the same thing happen, over and over: a kid walks in hesitant, unsure of themselves, and walks out six months later knowing exactly why they want to be in this field. Something Devon said has stayed with us: "There is no animal welfare without human welfare." That's the kind of thinking that reminds all of us why we got into this profession. At VPP, we believe the future of veterinary medicine belongs in the hands of the people who love it most -- the veterinary professionals, the communities they serve, and the next generation stepping up to carry it forward. So grateful for partners like Hand2Paw who are building that future, one young person at a time. Thank you so much for having us!
Some of our best thinking happens outside the boardroom. Last night our SAB doctors and leadership team took the conversation to Fenway, and reminded us why the people in this community make everything we do worthwhile. Here's to great partners and better games next time. ⚾️

Jules is the practice manager at Arizona Canine Orthopedics in Scottsdale. Her hospital joined VPP in early 2026, and her first introduction to the partnership came with four days notice: an invite to our Homecoming event. She came not knowing what to expect. "There were people who were just so genuinely excited to see one another, running towards each other to embrace. There was so much connection and so much collaboration." A few months later, she says the feeling hasn't changed. "That was the first feeling I ever got with VPP, and I still feel that way today." That's the bar we hold ourselves to. Not the warm welcome on day one, but the relationship that holds up after the welcome is over. Thanks for sharing, Jules.
This spring, we brought together the 2026 cohort of the VPP Leadership Academy (doctors, hospital managers, and VPP staff) for the first of two in-person sessions, following seven weeks of virtual learning together. The Leadership Academy Certificate program is built to develop both our clinical leaders and home team members as stronger team leaders, equipped to understand and leverage the macro-trends reshaping veterinary medicine and translate them into business, personal, and professional success. The energy and engagement from this group has been remarkable. A sincere thank you to Dr. Doug Aspros for leading the program, and to every participant showing up ready to grow. We'll reconvene in June to close out the program in person.
