"I was a VPP student ambassador at the University of Tennessee and it has been one of the best experiences of vet school. I have met great people through VPP and it has really changed my perspective on what corporate vet practices can look like. I love how each clinic is unique, yet still encourages a family atmosphere so that everyone, from veterinarians to technicians to receptionists, can enjoy coming to work. After how much I enjoyed being an ambassador I cannot wait to do an externship at one of the VPP hospitals during my clinical year!" VPP's externship rotations are designed to allow students, under veterinary supervision, to practice the problem-solving, technical and communication skills that they have acquired during their clinical preparation.
