Members of our Donor Care Recruitment and Lab Services team in Pittsburg organized a workshop for local high school students. The session equipped them with the tools and resources to effectively organize a successful blood drive. Both students and teachers gained insights into best practices for hosting a blood drive and understanding the positive impact of blood donations on patients. Vitalant consistently relies on high schools as a significant source for our blood drives across the nation.
Vitalant was honored to be a part of a the Micro Marathon in Chicago supporting the needs of injured service members, veterans and their families!

On August 10th, 2023, Vitalant unveiled its new, first-of-its-kind facility in the U.S. - Vitalant Innovation Center located in Denver, Colorado. Vitalant Innovation Center provides opportunities for innovative blood center equipment and processes to be tested outside of normal operations, advancing the science of transfusion medicine and research.
