December 2025 | Wisk Announces Strategic Support for U.S. Government’s eIPP. Wisk Aero announced its commitment to the Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Integration Pilot Program (eIPP). Established by Presidential Executive Order, this program serves as an essential pathway for achieving early commercial operations by providing the FAA with critical data to inform future regulatory and policy updates. In collaboration with its affiliate SkyGrid, Wisk will use the eIPP to demonstrate the operational maturity of its Generation 6 aircraft. While Houston remains a primary launch market, Wisk is also supporting partners across Florida, New York, and California to validate the feasibility of autonomous passenger transport. This participation ensures that Wisk’s self-flying technology remains at the forefront of the regulatory process required for a commercial launch by 2030.

December 2025 | Wisk Completes First Flight of Generation 6 Autonomous eVTOL. Wisk Aero announced the successful completion of the first flight of its Generation 6 aircraft at its flight test facility in Hollister, California. This achievement marks a pivotal step in Wisk’s journey to deliver the first-ever candidate for FAA type certification of an autonomous, passenger-carrying eVTOL in the U.S. The initial flight validated the aircraft’s core flight systems, including vertical takeoff, hover, and stabilized maneuvers. Leveraging insights from five previous generations and over 1,750 test flights, the Gen 6 aircraft is designed to meet rigorous commercial aviation safety standards with a focus on autonomous operations and human oversight. Following this milestone, Wisk is executing an extensive flight test program to validate design performance and mature its autonomy technologies, such as detect-and-avoid systems. October 2025 | Wisk Selects Liebherr-Aerospace as Strategic Supplier for Gen 6 Actuation System. Wisk Aero and Liebherr-Aerospace announced a long-term strategic agreement for the development and supply of the actuation system for Wisk’s Generation 6 autonomous, all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. This partnership covers the entire development program, from certification efforts through to full-rate, scaled production. Liebherr will provide a comprehensive electro-mechanical actuation system to control the aircraft’s flight surfaces—including flaperons, elevators, and rudders—as well as the critical tilt angle of the propulsion system. By adapting its proprietary modular flight control system, LiVCAS®, to fit Wisk’s all-electric architecture, Liebherr is helping to ensure the Gen 6 aircraft meets the highest aviation safety standards. The collaboration combines Liebherr’s deep institutional knowledge in certifying commercial flight control systems with Wisk’s innovative autonomous technology. This milestone is a key part of Wisk’s supply chain strategy, ensuring that critical components are manufactured by world-class aerospace providers as the company moves toward FAA certification and commercial launch.

August 2025 | Wisk Aero and Signature Aviation announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This partnership marks a significant step forward to proactively develop the infrastructure and operational framework for integrating autonomous Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) operations across Signature Aviation’s global network. This network includes locations in Wisk’s U.S. launch markets: Houston, Los Angeles, and Miami. The collaboration includes strategic planning efforts to identify and assess the feasibility of vertiport development locations compatible with Wisk’s autonomous AAM operations—a crucial part of planning for autonomy now. This includes conducting detailed exercises to evaluate the commercial, financial, regulatory, technical, and operational processes required to enable Wisk’s autonomous operations at specific Signature Aviation locations.

June 2025 | Wisk Aero signed a three-party Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The City of Kaga, Ishikawa, Japan, and Japan Airlines’ subsidiary, JAL Engineering Co., Ltd (JALEC). This unprecedented partnership will establish opportunities for introducing autonomous air travel in Japan. Building on Wisk’s existing partnership with Japan Airlines (JAL) and JALEC, the new scope of the collaboration with Kaga City will focus on several key areas, namely: regulatory and airspace system development, market analysis and development, social acceptance of AAM and autonomous aviation and supply chain support and manufacturing opportunities.

June 2025 | New Agreements with Miami International Airport and the University of Miami will bring safe, autonomous flight to South Florida. Wisk Aero announced the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) – one with the Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) and another with the University of Miami’s Engineering Autonomy Mobility Initiative (MEAMI). These collaborations mark a significant step towards integrating safe, autonomous air travel to Miami, Florida, one of the nation’s largest metropolitan areas. May 2025 | Wisk announced the appointment of Sebastien Vigneron as its new Chief Executive Officer. Sebastien, who previously served as Wisk’s Senior Vice President of Engineering and Programs, will succeed Brian Yutko, who is transitioning to a leadership role within Boeing’s Commercial Airplanes Division (BCA). Sebastien Vigneron brings a wealth of experience and deep understanding of Wisk’s technology and strategic direction to his role as CEO. Previously at Wisk, Sebastien drove Product Development of the company’s Generation 6 aircraft, including the Autonomy and Airspace Integration technologies. He also oversaw the Hardware & Software Engineering, Simulation, Systems Test, Flight Test, and Program Management teams. Sebastien’s appointment comes at a significant time for Wisk, as the company prepares to fly its Gen 6 aircraft and progress on its certification path. His background and intimate knowledge of new aircraft development are key to accelerating Wisk’s path towards commercialization.
