Lockheed has taken the cowardly approach to benefits to try and increase their profits and stock values. Costs have been transferred over to the employees with no adjustment to salaries for employees....again those that have continue to get more and those that do the actual work get scraps from the floor! Lockheed leadership is the most disconnected that I have ever witnessed in over 30 years of working. At some point in time there will most likely be a significant drop in earnings as Lockheed cannot deliver F35's on time or at the quality level the customers are looking for.

Most locations have flexible work schedule or holiday shutdown. Great 401K and savings plans.

The benefits are very good. The days offs earned are very good. However, you will burn through them just to get some time off. Mandatory overtime on week days and weekends is out of control,

The good:
LM puts 10% of your salary into the 401k plan if you put 8% into the plan.
3 weeks of vacation plus one week of sick leave (sick leave expires annually if unused)
Winter plant shutdown plus some holidays. The winter shutdown is in lieu of some holidays
The bad:
The health plan has low premiums but ultra-high deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums. Great deal if you are healthy and don't get sick (or have kids that get sick).
The ugly:
Nothing. Overall the benefits package is pretty fair and has stayed that way over the years in general. The 401k/retirement match has improved over the years while medical insurance has gotten worse. Vision, dental, and disability insurance has been pretty steady over the years in terms of premiums and coverage. Overall nothing to complain about.

The benefit package was really good. The management was good if you got with the right group. Most of the time though as far as HR was concerned, you were only your employee number
