401K Plan

"50% match up to 8%, plus 6% on top, for a grand total of 10%. This is outstanding and I do not know of anyone who tops that. If you make $100 and max out your 401k, you're putting away $28k a year."

So far no better and no worse than any other federal contractor. Dell offered 11 federal holidays, better flexible time (bank it for months and use later), and 401K matching was 100% of the first 3%. Lockheed is 10 holidays, Flex your time within the week (work 4/10 and take a day off), and matching is 50% of first 6%. Lockheed removed overtime, increased health care deductible, and has eliminated any training dollars. You are EXPECTED to work more than 40 hours of UCOT (Uncompensated Overtime) theoretically to pay for the benefits that we get. Ummmm....

Having the retirement is nice, but it is being replaced by a type of salaried savings plan. Being able to accure 10-weeks of vacation is pretty from what I have heard from people at other companies.

Their new health plan LM Heatlhworks was like a predecessor to Obamacare with high deductible and monthly payments with Aetna just a paperwork pass-through.

They're abundant - with everything that's offered it's hard to keep track of it all, but their HR folks are always willing and happy to help.

Great Benefits! Medical, dental, vision and life insurance are very reasonable. 401(k) is matched up to 8%, which is great!

In the eleven years I've been with the company they continue to reduce benefits, but then try to sell it as though it is an improvement. It's not, never has been... They say it's stay competitive, but what do the execs make? What is a truly a a sacrifice to someone already making millions? I'd say it's less even if it's a percentage... your probably still going to be able to afford your trip around the world or whatever that check affords you... mine won't... Costco is getting it now, only way to keep up with your down sizing.
