Relatively low co-pay and deductibles, but increased very quickly every year in the last few years

Health insurance benefit is very competitive with those of other companies of same size and segment. Free Merck-branded prescriptions is a nice perk.

The employee's cost has steadily risen to make this disappointingly expensive. Merck offers a $10/month discount if you share your medical information with a 3rd party which will then try to get you to lose weight, stop smoking, etc. Merck's hands are tied by laws and regulations but they are headed in the wrong direction.

Monthly cost is very high

The plan covers a lot, but the out-of -pocket costs are rising steadily every year.

2 health care options which is nice, BCBS and Aetna. Reasonably priced and lots of doctors in network.

Fairly low premiums compared to other companies, but plan deductibles has increased sharply over the past two years.
