UCR provides good health insurance. It covers both medical and dental. The worst thing is you have to get a referral from the student health center if you want to visit an out-campus specialist.

You get most holidays off, are vested after five years, and have great medical/dental/vision insurance. Health and wellness programs are free and so are select career development courses through HR. The campus also offers free access to LinkedIn Learning classes. Parking is expensive though, and 3-4 curtailment days (your choice of mandatory vacation or no-pay days) are used during the holiday break when the campus is closed.
