Some interns are allowed to work full time over breaks. There you can accumulate sick time. You get paid holidays off. You have professional development and certificate programs online. The benefits team is always sending employees emails and information on physical and mental wellness.

There was no benefit package offered to part time student employees. It was very straight forward as to what was asked of you.

This is not applicable for MS students. May be for a full time job these benefits will be there.

I worked as a Ph.D graduate student researcher at UC Riverside. The insurance provided by the UC system is very good. If you are a RA or 25% TA, this will be included in your benefit. GSHIP also provide dental and vision insurance.
