"They are very understanding when it comes to asking for a sick day or an emergency comes up. There are many other student workers that can fill the spot so it's easy for them to find a replacement for the shift."

The best part about working as a full time employee for the UC System is the benefits. I feel fortunate to have health, dental and vision insurance without having to pay too much out of pocket for co-pay.

Had great health care system and allowed students to utilize all of the health care facilities at any time needed. If the school's facilities weren't great you were moved to the nearby hospital

They were not willing to hire me for any hours greater than 30 hr per week. This is most likely to avoid health insurance and 401K costs.
