McKinsey comp bump just announced?
Struggle with complex chart reading in case interviews and tend to blabber alot without getting to key insights. Any tips on how to get better at this?
MBB office competitiveness: Boston vs Chicago vs SF? Incoming MBA at a midwest M7, targeting healthcare/biotech work. My read is all three offices have real presence in the space, but Boston is the strongest for life sciences specifically. Question is how realistic Boston is coming from outside the region — does the HBS/Sloan pipeline make it meaningfully harder for a midwest M7 candidate, or do offices not really weight school geography that much?
Interviewing for McKinsey & Company now. Just worried. How do you all survive off of 4 hours of sleep and having no life for at least 5 days a week if not more. Specifically women.
Do McKinsey interviewers compare your PEI stories? I have two stories that are really good and that depending on which part of the story I talk about can answer different portions of the PEI Questions (convincing some story and leadership stories etc.) is it bad to use the same story but just talk about a different part of it in detail?
Joining MBB at 34/35? Will I be too old? Should I just forget about it and focus on other things?
What’s the salary for Associates? Is the 10% a one time benefit or salary?
Now for BCG and Bain to be Fast Followers 😂
TBD - 10%+ across the board is the rumor. Announced but details aren’t finalized Z
The 15% is the increase from the original low to the new high. Playing with the numbers (what else is new) and you look at possible increases low to low, low to medium, low to high you might get an avg of 10. Then again this was one person's post on Reddit about As and Cs. But if you townhall a target of 10% across the board and it's funny math to get there, you manage to turn what should be a morale boost into a moral bust. Time will tell.

don’t play 👀

yes
M1 any shareable details?
Does that include the general increase you get as you move up a level? Or actual band increases?
I don't understand this question... there are already increases as you move up levels. When people talk about comp increases they are talking about the bands...

Wow. Get ready for some drastic personnel cuts.
Also this thing called price rises… which over the past X years since last comp rise has more than outstripped the comp rise….
