      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at 51Talk (Manila, Manila) in Aug 2017

      Interview

It was basically conducted in email. I owned a recruiting business with thousands of potential teachers for them. They lost interest when I didn't fit their model because I lacked in this - Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Behavioral Science. Makes no sense, or it didn't then. Now it makes sense, they didn't want a recruiter of actual educators. They wanted psych assessments on applicants to determine which were weak and easily manipulated to work for peanuts and play the "lets earn a bonus so we can make the impossible 80,000 php per month from home teaching" game. Btw, their knack for false advertising is over the top. Lastly, they violate their teachers rights with financial penalties. They are hired as independent contractors and treated (and penalized) like employees. -- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, Behavioral Science, Education, or the equivalent Previous work experience in BPO Recruitment is preferred but not required Previous Online English Teaching experience is an advantage Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in MS Office applications, Adobe Photoshop and Internet navigation Driven, highly-motivated, and can work with minimal supervision Excellent interpersonal skills and strong work ethics Proactive and works with minimal supervision Willing to work on shifting schedule and on holidays

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at 51Talk in May 2016

      Interview

      1. Initial interview with HR to assess skillset 2. Communication skill interview with a language assessor 3. Behavior interview with operation manager 4. Final interview with VP/Job Offer I waited for a total of 7 hours (without lunch!) in order to finish the hiring process. After every interview, you will be asked to wait an hour or two before they call you again. HR won't even help you or entertain questions until they call you. Other than that, application process is easy to pass.
