The process took 5 days. I interviewed at ACA Compliance Group
Interview
Got a call from the recruiter, She was little rude and arranged initial phone screen, the interviewer asked basic OOPS and SQL questions. Next day called to arrange a face to face interview at the office location. they did not pay for my traveling expenses. went in to the onsite interview, there were two rounds with two leads. asked robotic design question and basic programming questions. They were really testing the basics. It lasted for about 3 hours. The HR told that they will give response back in two days. Sent in email and no response. Later called and introduced myself, The HR asks me "How can I help you ? ". Has the HR not read my emails asking about the status. HR says that they were not considering my candidacy. I would suggest not to interview with these people, These people are unprofessional . I have seen the Junior Developer role being advertised every few months. Do not know if there high turnouts or more requirements.
There was a lead who thinks that he is drilling you down but what he really cares is that the minor nuances
For Eg: in for loop he prefers i<n against i<=n-1 which for me does not make any sense. Each developer has his own choice of preference and should be allowed to do what he thinks. He should try to explain more if this is illogical or failing at any cases.
They expect you to write code in a single function against using modular functions(which does not make any sense to me)
Attending interview with this guys a pure waste of my time.
Writing this review to report that after interviewing for 4 hours and being told I would get feedback regarding "next steps", the company completely ghosted me. It's been over a week and a half and I've gotten no response. I've emailed, called, left a voice mail. Nothing. Radio silence.
My interview lasted for almost 4 hours and that's time I will never get back. I had personally felt the interview went well. The interviewers themselves gave me positive feedback. I felt that things went well. But to give no formal feedback after the fact is both discourteous and unprofessional.
Other candidates take heed.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ACA Compliance Group (New York, NY) in May 2018
Interview
The interview process took two weeks. I applied through job portal. I got call from recruiter and she set up the phone technical screening. This went well and they replied within 4 days and called me for on site interview.
The on-site interview was in two parts with two different project lead/ team lead. They asked pretty easy designing and coding question. I was asked to code and write basic SQL script on white board.
PROS:
The recruiter was prompt an efficient.
CONS:
I asked the interviewer when I started writing on the white board if I need to write structured syntactically proper code. They said they were looking to see how easily I handled the logic. But after giving a good interview they came back with a feed back that my answers were right, I was strong in db and wrote correct code but un-fortunately it wasn't well structured.
I don't know what exactly looking for in a developer.
It was a pure waste of time I would say.
