I applied online though Linked In. I passed a phone interview with a recruiter and was asked to come in for an in person interview. I did well with the interview and was introduced to a BCBA who showed me the facility and sat me down with a kid to see how I would do. I then went back in with my interviewer, and she told me to expect an offer letter the next day. She told me that the lady who was in charge of offer letters had been on vacation and was still getting caught up, so I should reach out to the recruiter if I didn’t hear anything. I never received it, even after reaching out to the recruiter by phone and email several times. Almost a week later, I received an email saying they were moving forward with other candidates. I asked for an explanation and was told they were going forward with candidates who have more ABA experience. I appreciate there are many people who have more ABA experience than I do, but I felt like I was told I would get this position and then completely ghosted. It just didn’t seem very professional.
