I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Action Behavior Centers - ABA Therapy for Autism (Buda, TX) in Aug 2023
Interview
The interview process was easy. 30-minute phone screening followed by an hour-long interview the following day. In the interview, you will be asked to be in a room with some of the children and RBTs. The job looked promising however, pay is completely misleading. Pay description on application says $18-25 an hour. However, in their handbook and on job offer, someone with a bachelors degree starts at $16.50. They try to make this wage seem decent by explaining that after months of training, you will get pay raises, however, the highest you can get after the training is $19. These wages are not livable and unacceptable for a company to mislead an applicant. The pay was not discussed in the interview and was only noted on the job offer. The job also seemed to be glorified childcare. The interviewer discussed that you would have to deal with potty training, diaper changing, and other numerous childcare activities that are not mentioned in the job description. While in the room during the interview I did not see much done to redirect or encourage new behaviors while the child was acting out. Overall, this job would be good for someone who does not have any experience nor a degree but if you are looking for a professional position out of college this does not seem worth it.

Interview
Very casual, talked about why I chose to apply at ABC and what my goals would be if I would be interested to pursue a career further with the company. The interview was held more so like a friendly conversation in order to see what I have to offer personality wise.
