Interview was pretty easy. First of all that was Skype call to meet with interviewer and to describe all my experience and current work position, and also to understand, what ways exists at Agoda to go through.
Then, it was "homework" task about high load REST application with concurrency problems. Interesting enough task, where you can think a lot and suggest different ways to make it well.
After task, there was another one Skype call to discuss suggested solution and and answer about all pros and cons of this solution.
Then, after few days, I was invited to Bangkok for face-to-face meeting and interview. This was 4-days trip including one full day for interviews with 4 development managers from different teams.
During these interviews we also discussed my previous experience and career wishes. Also during the conversation we worked together to solve a variety of random problems and processes from the backend API, such as "Today everything is working well, and tomorrow we see a huge load, what are we going to do.".
Pretty nervous day, especially for non-native English speakers, but people were friendly and understanding.
