I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Aircall in Mar 2022
Interview
The interview process took just over a week - I spoke with the hiring manager, an internal recruiter and 2 employees. The first two interviews were around cultural fit, sales experience, and finding out more about Aircall, and the final interview was a chance for me to ask my questions and run through a mock discovery call. All the interviews were enjoyable and the people I met were really nice and gave a good impression of Aircall.
During the conversation with the internal recruiter, I was asked for my salary expectations, which I gave. At this point there was no indication this might be a problem, and I was put through to the end of the process where I got very positive feedback, and an offer. However, the offer was 15k less than my expectations for the basic salary, and 46k less than my expectations for OTE. It would've been a pay cut of nearly 30k from where I currently am. I was very frustrated and disappointed that I was not told upfront that my expectations didn't match their salary for this role. Their offer was really poor - far, far less than industry average.
