I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Alaska Airlines (Phoenix, AZ) in Aug 2016
Interview
I applied online and received an email back within two days, inviting me to a group interview. The group interview had about 18 other people. We were split up in three groups, each with a recruiter and we were all asked a question and given one
Minute to answer. It was a great way to get to know the people in your group and also allow your personality to shine.
After group interviews you were given a one-on-one interview time. I'm not sure if arrival time of the group interview made any difference on what order you were chosen to interview however I was there very early, and was one of the first to have a one-on-one. I got to leave right after.
Just be yourself, tell true stories about past situations, and make friends with the people around you!
I was offered the position and will have to go to Seattle for a drug and nicotine test. They have a zero tolerance drug policy. If you fail, you can never ever apply with the company again. You cannot use any sort of nicotine product cigarettes, e-cig, cigar, nicotine patch, or gum for 6 months.
Once I pass the drug and nicotine test, I will go back in a few weeks for a 10 day training.
Several typical questions, very easy. Lasted less than 30 mins. They were eager to hire, it looks like. Let me know about the result of the interview the same day.
