About what you'd expect from product interviews. Then ghosted. Pretty garbage experience. They should try to do better. Even horrible companies shoot out an email. Perhaps aspire to have a recruiting experience on par with horrible companies.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ally Financial in Feb 2026
Interview
First is the phone-screen with the recruiter. Two rounds of interview, second round is generally a panel interview on-site. Takes around 2-3 weeks from first round to wrap up and get an answer.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ally Financial
Interview
Was referred to this role by a colleague at a former job. Heard good things and was interested in pursuing the role. I never actually talked on the phone with a recruiter, except for one time when one of the interviewers no-showed. Everything was coordinated on the phone. I went through 4 total interviews with various individuals. In the end, after going through all of that, I got a response from the recruiter stating that they are pursuing candidates with more years experience for the role. If my years of experience was the issue in hiring me for the role, I do not understand why that wasn't brought up early in the screening process. I felt like my time was wasted.
