The interview process started well with a first contact with the HR manager. The conversation seemed to reflect corporate values, which were my number 1 reason to apply. I was then invited to an in-person interview with the line manager, in a city located about 300km from where I live. I accepted right away, letting them know that I would need to take a day off to make it to the appointment. 5 days passed between the moment I confirmed the meeting and the actual interview. I appreciated that they seemed to accommodate my agenda and showed some flexibility with the time and day. Oh but what a disappointment when they called me 2 hours before the interview to let me know someone else was hired and the meeting was cancelled. I was almost at destination when I received the call and I could tell the HR manager was uncomfortable with what she had to tell me. I would be she did not have much say regarding the way things were handled. I wasted time and money for a company that clearly has no idea how to plan a recruitment process and does not care about people…even when hiring the CSR Director.
