I have been in recruiting for over 10 years, have management and leadership experience, have been promoted at every job I’ve ever had- always hard working and well liked. And also worth mentioning I am one of the top recruiters at my current company. A recruiter contacted me on Linked In asking me if I would be interested in switching companies. I politely declined and said I was currently happy at my company. A few months later I decided to entertain the idea so I contacted the same recruiter who immediately responded and urged me to fill out the application online. A few hours after I filled out the application I received an email w/ a “personality test”. I completed the test and heard nothing but crickets. After about a week I received an email from the recruiter saying they were not interested in moving forward with my application. I was completely floored. I worked in sales and recruiting for over 20 years!!! I am always positive and a hard worker! This was completely their loss- apparently they are looking for cookie cutter robots instead of actual talent. Sounds like they are looking for people w/ little to no experience to join their club.
