After having a brief telephone interview and taking a personality test, I was invited to have an in-person interview for a position I was interested in. The interviewer was a few minutes late (understandable in a fast paced environment I suppose), and didn't seem genuinely interested in my answers to questions. About 7 minutes into the conversation, the interviewer asked if I would be open to a different position they had available. I tried to keep an open mind and was nice about it, but it was really a boring sounding job (collections). Then, he sent in a second interviewer who also seemed uninterested in what I had to say and asked a few quick, very open ended questions. Honestly, I could have been more prepared for these but I didn't come up with great answers. A couple of days later, I got an email letting me know they were considering other candidates for second round interviews. I sent an email looking for feedback and didn't hear back. As a side note, employees were smoking cigarettes in front of the building and I thought I overhead some complaints about work. My advice: set up a smoking area in the back.
