The initial screener was notably informative and engaging, efficiently facilitating my progression to the second interview with the lead paralegal. Unfortunately, during this Microsoft Teams interview, despite being tardy by 10 minutes, the lead paralegal repeatedly interrupted me while I answered her questions. Despite my qualifications for the position, her demeanor suggested a lack of interest in conducting the interview. Consequently, the experience felt unwelcoming. Therefore, the email notifying me of not securing the job didn't come as a surprise.

Other Paralegal Interview Reviews for Aya Healthcare
A recruiter reached out to me to complete a Predictive Index (PI) Assessment, which I did. She reached out again a few days later to schedule a phone screen. A few minutes into the conversation, the recruiter interrupted me to ask if I had a paralegal certificate, which I do not. I have a bachelor's degree and more than enough experience to satisfy the job requirements that were in the job description.
She explained that that a paralegal certificate was required for the role and abruptly ended the discussion. She said she would check with the hiring manager to see if there was any flexibility and that she'd follow-up. I just got the standard rejection email from her the next day.
The whole thing was weird considering 1) the job posting absolutely does not state this is a requirement 2) she said that a paralegal certificate was required in the state of CA for all paralegal positions (untrue, as I currently am a paralegal without a certificate lol) and 3) she had my resume prior to even asking me to complete that silly PI assessment and should have never even wasted either of our time proceeding with a phone interview if that was such a big deal.
Why are so many of these companies a waste of time and why is talent acquisition is incredibly incompetent? Wouldn't recommend this place based on the inexperienced recruiter and misinformation she provided.
