I applied online from a listing I saw on LinkedIn, but prior to applying I went to the Backbase website to confirm the role was listed as sometimes that’s not the case. Researched the company a bit to see if made sense for me to apply. After applying I received a notification they received my application and that they were reviewing it. About 3-4 days later I got a direct response from HR they wanted to have an introduction call to explain who Backbase was, and to further explore my qualifications and desires in a new employer. Once an agreed time was set, we talked forr about 45 minutes. The conversation started with HR person giving a very well thought out and practiced overview of the company answering a lot of my initial questions. This was probably one of the best company overviews and informational Introductions I have received in 30 years. After the overview, we had a very candid and open back and forth conversation about the role, company, culture etc. About a week later I received a note that they were still discussing my candidacy and would be back in touch soon. A couple days later, I got a call that went to voicemail

The process was lengthy, with a handful of remote interviews over a couple of weeks. The process concluded with an onsite "case" interview which required extensive preparation. I thought it was a tough interview process but I can see the benefit to Backbase in weeding out less than serious applicants.
