I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg Industry Group
Interview
It starts with a very brief phone interview. This had some basic questions about work history, salary requirements and the like- nothing too surprising. This was followed by a 3 hour skill test- first a computer based grammar test, then a writing test for about two hours.

Question 1
The interview itself was simple. The tests were fairly straightforward- Not inherently easy, but not difficult and certainly not surprising.
The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Bloomberg Industry Group in Mar 2020

Interviewed with recruiter who asked standard HR questions and was then given a test. You have 2 hours to complete the writing test which includes writing a breaking news story, tweet, a longer story and a follow-up pitch.
NOTE: As a JOC was told that the Bloomberg team values diversity... but they still filled the position with a white man. So, JOCs beware, the company leadership doesn’t always practice what they preach.
I applied online. The process took 7 months. I interviewed at Bloomberg Industry Group (Washington, DC) in Feb 2018
Interview
The interview process took almost 6 months from start to finish. I was required to interview with a secretary in the company, who I was told would take notes and give to the hiring committee. The interview was very short and awkward. It felt as though the person conducting the interview was unsure of the job. About a month later, I was asked to interview with another member of the organization. That interview was almost the exact same as the first interview. About a month after the second interview, I was asked to complete a very extensive writing exercise. The company gave me 3 hours to read multiple long and dense legal documents then write multiple articles including sourcing and questions. The writing test was something pretty standard for journalism interviews, but this one felt very dense, difficult, and confusing. Only after that was I required to travel to the company (on my own dime) to interview in front of a panel of 6 individuals from the company. It was very excessive and personally time-consuming.
