I applied online. I interviewed at Boots (Dundrum, Dublin)
Interview
(May 2016)I applied online to Boots Dundrum. I received an email shortly after asking to complete the assessment. I received an email 2 days later saying to book a time slot for the interview.
A week later I interviewed at Boots Dundrum, the employees there were welcoming and friendly, the manager was running a bit late due to not being informed about the interviews being on buy I didn't mind as I got the opportunity to talk to the other employees.
When I was taken in to do my interview it was very relaxed and I felt very comfortable, we made a few jokes and the manger made me feel very welcomed and relaxed during the interview, she asked a few questions which didn't take long.
We went onto the floor to do a few exercises. I had to talk about a product that I had previously picked (I picked a boots skin care lotion and talked about what's good about it including good for sensitive skin, good price for the targeted audience etc) I was then asked to approach customers and ask if they needed any assistance and show the manager what the right way to approach and handle the situation was. I was then asked to pick out an aisle and to say what I would fix about it. Lastly I was asked a couple of scenario questions.
She told me she was very impressed especially considering I'd never worked before. I got a call
4 days later offering me a position there.

Question 1
What would I do if I seen a customer who was looking around the store quite confused
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
