Interview
First you are taken to the manager's office where you are asked general questions about your right to work and such like and you are asked to prove your identity and proof of address. You are then asked a little about yourself and why you applied for the job and a few competency based questions are asked.
You are then taken onto the shop floor where you are asked to find a customer who looks like they are in need of assistance and try to help them in whatever way you can. Most of the time, this is just finding a product for them in the store which isn't too bad if you follow the signs above your head of where products are in the store. The manager will follow you and make notes on your abilities while you do this so remember to be attentive to the customer, friendly and happy to help at all times.
After this you are taken back to the manager's office where the interview is concluded and you can ask questions if you have any and the manager will tell you about when you will be likely to hear if you've been successful or not.

What would I do if I seen a customer who was looking around the store quite confused
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
