I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Boots in Mar 2016
Interview
After successfully completing the online assessment, I was invited to interview. The process was rather intimidating - but not one you could necessarily fully prepare for as such - aside from the generic interview questions. The shop floor element is rather testing under nerves, usually given a possible scenario, asked to sell a product and how you would improve company. Interview was shorter than anticipated at 35 minutes but got a call the day after offering me the position. My advice is don't let fear overcome you as it can have a very negative impact on your performance.
Private interview questions - pretty standard just based on experience and given loads of time to answer. Then taken to shop floor to pick a product and how I would recommend/sell it.

Question 1
What would I do if I seen a customer who was looking around the store quite confused
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
