I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Boots (Wigan, England) in Jun 2015
Interview
Interviews were individual with two of the store managers who were very friendly and put me at ease. Upon arriving was told that I would be applying to become a trainee healthcare assistant rather than sales assistant which I didn't mind. Was asked general questions about myself personally and why I had applied for the job as well as why I would be good at the position. Then had to carry out several tasks out on the shop floor. First had to hand out promotion leaflets and point out/help any customers who seemed in needs of it. Then was asked to pick a favourite product in store and 'sell' to a number of hypothetical customers e.g. a busy, working mother and a more elderly lady. Was also asked to rate a particular makeup brand stand and give reasons for my rating. Was called the next week and offered the job.
