      Customer Assistant Interview

      Aug 22, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Boots in Jul 2016

      Interview

Applied for Boots on their website. Got an email asking me to fill out an online assessment which included personality and how-would-you-act-in-a-scenario type questions. About a week later got an email saying I was through to the next stage and was asked to book a time for the interview. I got in 15 minutes early and had a look around the shop floor. Then I told a staff member that I was here for the interview. She took me to the assistant manager who then took me to the back office. Asked me basic questions like tell me about yourself and work experience. After that we went onto the shop floor where I was asked to approach a couple of customers and ask if they needed help. Then we went to an aisle and she gave me a scenario wherein A customer needs something for her elderly friend who just got out of hospital. She asked me to pick a product in 5 minutes and explain why I would recommend it. She then took me to another aisle and asked how I would tidy the aisle up. After that we went back to the office where she photocopied my passport and asked me if I had any queries.

Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
