I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Boots (Plymouth, England) in Jul 2016
Interview
During the interview you should arrive 10 minutes early. You are greeted by the interviewer/ manager of the store. They ask for rights to work proof eg British passport and leave the room to scan it. They then come back and ask for availability, what type of contract you would like etc. They then ask you general questions, for around 15 mins. They then take you out onto the shop floor and are given scenarios and what you would do in that situation. You are then given the opportunity to sell a product to the manager. You then have to try and sell products to any customers or get them to try a sample. Lastly I had to approach customers and see if they needed any help. Although this interview seemed rather easy I did not get the job. It seems boots are not good at employing younger people with no experience which I think is pointless.
- group interview, but was the only one present
- answered a few questions about my previous experience and availability
- the interview did not last for a long time, quite straight forward
