I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Boots (Letchworth, England) in Aug 2016
Interview
After applying online, received an email asking me to book an interview slot. First, my NI card and Birth Certificate were photocopied.
The interview itself started with some questions, mostly asking what I would do in a certain situation based on my previous experience. They wanted to know my availability, as well as whether I would be able to help out in other stores in the neighbouring towns.
After the questions, I was taken out onto the shop floor to find my chosen product that I had been asked to research in the email, and had to talk about it to the interviewer. Then I was asked to pick out a messy looking shelf and say what was wrong with it and how I would change it.
Finally, whilst still on the shop floor, I was asked a few questions about customers.
Overall, a pleasant experience, quite laid back and the interviewer was lovely.
Private interview questions - pretty standard just based on experience and given loads of time to answer. Then taken to shop floor to pick a product and how I would recommend/sell it.

Question 1
What would I do if I seen a customer who was looking around the store quite confused
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
