I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Boots in Sep 2016
Interview
Applied online and did the assessment. Got an email about an interview but when I turned up it turns out the person who deals with recruitment is on holiday this week so what seemed to be an employee of some sort conducted the interview. Although he was nice I he didn't photocopy my passport or do much interview only lasted 30 minutes. Felt like it was a bit unfair as they would most likely hire someone else who they already have full information of and the interview was conducted full and properly. Waiting to hear back but sure I won't get it as it was unfair.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why boots?
Name a time you helped a colleague
Name a time you were in an unfamiliar situation
How would you identify an un confident shopper
Private interview questions - pretty standard just based on experience and given loads of time to answer. Then taken to shop floor to pick a product and how I would recommend/sell it.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
What would I do if I seen a customer who was looking around the store quite confused
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
