I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Boots (Smethwick, England) in Oct 2016
Interview
I applied for the job online and got an email that said I had to complete the online assessment, a few days later I got another email inviting me for an interview and had to choose what day would suit me best. I discovered this site, a few days before my interview so I made a word document of all the possible questions I could be asked and practiced my answers with my mum. On the day of the interview, I was met by the store manager who was very friendly and immediately put me at ease, we went into the office and she asked me a few of the interview questions as well what my availability would be in terms of when I would be able to start. We then went on to the shop floor and I was taken to three different aisles and was asked to choose a product that I would recommend for a customer, based on the scenario my store manager had given me. I was then asked to tell her about the product I had chosen to present and why. That was then the end of the interview and I was surprised to be offered the job as soon as we got back into the office.

Question 1
What would I do if I seen a customer who was looking around the store quite confused
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
