I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Boots (Exeter, England) in Jul 2016
Interview
I applied on the boots job website, then received an email asking to book a interview slot. I looked online at alot of peoples experiences of their boots interview... I read alot of people being shown onto the shop floor and having to sell something to a customer and also picking out a product and talking about it (which it actually mentions in the email you receive) I done neither, my interview was super quick and a couple of other staff members mentioned about lunch break to my interviewer so thats probably why mine was rushed along!
the person that done my interview seemed really nice but not confident enough to be holding interviews, I messed up a little on 2 of the questions but they were just normal interview questions, the other questions asked i gave plenty of information on why i want to work there etc, I have alot of retail and supervisory experience so i was 100% sure i would get the job... I didn't, and what super annoyed me is I went in there afterwards and their staff were so rubbish at delivering good customer service, but hey!
Was good and informative.
Helped a lot
Interesting process
Would recommend to be honest
Given a lot of time
I think that once you focus on the extension of the time given to the current state of it then its good
4 simple questions, relevant past experience? Relevant skills? Why do you want to work for boots? Can you tell us abit about yourself? then a task to find something on the shop floor
Normal formal Interview. I was shown the full shop floor. I was asked about my favourite Boots Products and how I would sell them. I was asked about previous experience and skills.
