I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Boots (Canterbury, England) in Nov 2016
Interview
Applied online which was a few general questions then a short assessment. Got offered an interview via email and had to go online to choose a lot, which was for a few days later and also told to choose a product which the store stocked. I arrived at the store 10 minutes early and the staff were really nice. I was taken straight to the interview room where I was asked about the info in my application and asked some questions based on the answers I had given in my assessment. I was then taken to the shop floor down an aisle and asked what would I do to it if I had 5 minutes and what would I do if I had 2 hours. I then had to sell a product I had chosen to the interviewer. I was then meant to try and sell a product he chose to customers but there were no customers in store, so instead I was asked how to spot a confident/unconfident shopper. I was then taken back to the interview room and asked if i had any questions.
- group interview, but was the only one present
- answered a few questions about my previous experience and availability
- the interview did not last for a long time, quite straight forward
