I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Boots (London, England) in Jan 2017
Interview
I prepared using glass door so I'm here to give back! So I arrived around 10 minutes before my interview was due to start and told one of the ladies working there that I had arrived for an interview. I waited about 5 minutes for the manager to come out to greet me - he was very welcoming and polite. I was then taken to his office where he talked me through the interview process before we began it and let me know to not be disheartened if it seems short as he adapts the interview to only ask a few questions. (Questions listed below). Then we went to the shop floor and I had to help a customer to find the right products for her baby. After this, I was asked to sell him a product (he gave me a scenario) and I made sure to state that boots own products work just as well as big name brand products. Next I did the standard picking a section of the aisle to improve (making sure product labels show). Finally he asked me to tell him which of two displays that had the same offer would sell quicker - the answer was the one with more signage. Then we concluded the interview with photocopying my passport and he told me I would hear back very soon - and I did a few hrs later with a welcome call!

Question 1
What is one time you had to recover from a negative situation?
Private interview questions - pretty standard just based on experience and given loads of time to answer. Then taken to shop floor to pick a product and how I would recommend/sell it.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
What would I do if I seen a customer who was looking around the store quite confused
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
