I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Boots (Aberdeen, Scotland) in Feb 2017
Interview
I arrived a couple minutes early to remind myself of the layout of the shop as I was told in an email that I would be on the shop floor during the interview (however I didn't end up on the shop floor at all). After meeting the manager we went to his office and he asked me some general questions about my day and my background. He then asked for my passport and photocopied it. He asked me a number of questions; about boots, my team work skills, how to solve a scenario, why I applied, how I would sell my chosen product to him, how I would tidy an aisle of the store. (what would I prioritise?)
After the questions, he explained to me what the specifics of the job was; hours, salary, what my role would be, how long it would take for them to get back to me etc. The whole interview was 35/40 minutes. (Interview was today so still waiting to hear back from the store manager)
Private interview questions - pretty standard just based on experience and given loads of time to answer. Then taken to shop floor to pick a product and how I would recommend/sell it.

Question 1
What would I do if I seen a customer who was looking around the store quite confused
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
