I applied online. I interviewed at Boots (Manchester, England) in Jul 2017
Interview
I applied online where I had to complete an assessment, this was a simple process. The next day I received an email telling me that they were impressed with my application but I hadn't got an interview but I was placed on a reserve list. The following day they asked me to book an interview slot for the following week and to think of a product that appeals to me. In the interview I was asked the questions listed below and also questions about me and my availability and they scanned my passport. I was then taken to the shop floor where i had to tell them how i would approach and help a customer. I then had to find the product i'd chosen and sell it to them and answer questions about the product. (I chose a conditioner that i regularly use myself). I was then asked to approach a customer and ask if they wanted any help, all 4/5 i asked said they were just browsing or they didn't need help. After this i was taken back to the office and the interview was over.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you brought fun and energy to a team.
Private interview questions - pretty standard just based on experience and given loads of time to answer. Then taken to shop floor to pick a product and how I would recommend/sell it.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
What would I do if I seen a customer who was looking around the store quite confused
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
