I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Boots (Birmingham, England) in Jan 2018
Interview
Went for an interview that took me 2 hours to get there (not the place that I applied to). Was met with a lovely woman who then interviewed me for an hour. She asked me at least 30 interview questions, we went on the shop floor where she asked me about the shelves and then again another part about specific situations about customer services. I was also asked to advertise a specific product. I thought I did quite good as I did a lot of research before. She said she would give me a call in 2-3 days, but actually ended up sending me a generic email 3 weeks later, saying I was unsuccessful.

Question 1
Give me an example of good team-working you have done?
Private interview questions - pretty standard just based on experience and given loads of time to answer. Then taken to shop floor to pick a product and how I would recommend/sell it.

Question 1
What would I do if I seen a customer who was looking around the store quite confused
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
