I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Boots (London, England) in Feb 2018
Interview
Initially you have to complete a very long online assessment where the questions are very competency based - on completion and succession of finishing that I was invited for an interview (It was analysed, interview offered and booked in around 1-2 weeks)
I arrived in store for my interview 15 mins early, let someone know I was ready for my interview (the store manager was in a meeting) and waited nearly 45 minutes for the manager to come and greet me to conduct the interview.
Once the manager came out, he apologised profoundly for making me wait and we went into his office. He was extremely friendly and made me feel very relaxed. It started off just him getting my details and getting to know a bit about my personal life and my work back ground. He then went on to ask around 8 competency based questions where I had to give examples of relevant experiences ( This took around half an hour). We then went on to the shop floor where he got me to have a look around and asked me a few more general questions. We touched on the Boots Advantage card and he asked me to sell one to the customers on the shop floor - they all had them already but I did successfully assist them with their needs. Just before we finished, we went back into the office where I asked him some questions and had a general chat about life.
The interview lasted around 1 hour & 15 mins. I did leave feeling positive which is a good thing.
Usually you hear back within a week - it took 3 weeks for Boots to get back to me. Unfortunately I was successful in this role but they urged me to apply for other roles in the company as they were "impressed with my application and interview"

I applied online. I interviewed at Boots (Edinburgh, Scotland) in Aug 2024
Interview
Introduction, and competency based questions with availability/visa inquiries. All the boots interviews follow this pattern. I had no response from any of them neither a rejection nor acceptance. They do not tell us about outcome of the interview.
