I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Boots (Peterborough, England) in May 2018
Interview
Well when I turned up for the interview it seemed as though nobody there was expecting me and was then sent upstairs into the staff room where all the other staff where on lunch so where just staring until the manager came to get me. She went through some questions although they weren’t really very customer related which threw me a bit as I had prepared for customer related questions but I went with it. On the initial email I was told I would have to talk about a product and so I learnt all about a particular one and then was never asked about it or even taken onto the shop floor and all in all my interview lasted about 10 minutes.
So yeah don’t always go by what other people have been asked as I was asked none of those questions
I was also told I would be contacted during the that week by that individual to let me know either way and I am yet to here anything
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
When was the last time you had to do something for someone else
Private interview questions - pretty standard just based on experience and given loads of time to answer. Then taken to shop floor to pick a product and how I would recommend/sell it.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
What would I do if I seen a customer who was looking around the store quite confused
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
