I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Boots (Wigan, England) in May 2018
Interview
Interview was quite difficult, she only asked questions that the website had churned out and they were all situational based ones that i had literally no examples of. She then took me out onto the shop floor, and told me to find a good shelf, a bad shelf, and a boots product to talk about (rendering the research i had been told to do into ANY product kind of pointless). She gave me 15 minutes to do this but found me after 10, and she seemed very eager to proceed through it. She told me that the position started tomorrow and that she would ring me in a few hours (as the interview was at 3) to tell me if i had gotten the job or not, but instead a week later i recieved a generic rejection email.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Name a time when someone has asked you for help with an item, and you have had to research into this.
Private interview questions - pretty standard just based on experience and given loads of time to answer. Then taken to shop floor to pick a product and how I would recommend/sell it.

Question 1
What would I do if I seen a customer who was looking around the store quite confused
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
