I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Boots (Southend-on-Sea, England) in Sep 2018
Interview
I was alerted by email that Boots had invited me to attend an interview— in which I was able to choose the available time and date I wanted on their website— which was all very convenient and easy. In the email I received regarding the interview, I was told that the interview process would take about an hour, and that I’d be carrying out some short exercises on the shop floor (which didn’t go ahead after all). The interview itself was very relaxed and comfortable, and the Assistant Manager was absolutely lovely. Overall it was a very calming experience, and I was offered the job not less than two days afterwards!
Private interview questions - pretty standard just based on experience and given loads of time to answer. Then taken to shop floor to pick a product and how I would recommend/sell it.

Question 1
What would I do if I seen a customer who was looking around the store quite confused
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
